Plot

Deeply impacted by a life-altering incident, Mo Ran, through endless deceit and cruelty, reigns as the first Emperor of the cultivation world, titled Taxian-jun. However, increasingly dissatisfied and isolated at the peak of his power, Mo Ran takes his own life. Instead of waking up in the underworld, he transmigrates to the first year he became a disciple of Sisheng Peak.

Wearied down by grudges of a lifetime ago, in his teenage body, he vows to avenge everyone who had wronged him in his previous life. His worst scorn is saved for his Shizun, Chu Wanning, who he considers to be singularly responsible for the event that pushed him past the point of no return. As he uncovers a series of mysteries related to his past life as the lines between past and present blur, Mo Ran begins to see himself and his Shizun in a different light.
