Laios Touden (ライオス トーデン, Raiosu Tōden) (sometimes spelled "Laius") is a main character of the seinen manga and anime series Dungeon Meshi.

Canon

In canon, Laios is 26 years old, the son of a lord of a northern land, older brother of Falin Touden, and leader of a dungeon party. He briefly joined the army before running away and living as a wanderer for a while. He and his sister got their start in a gold stripping party before creating their own party. He is obsessed with monsters and has a lot of respect for them. He also has trouble picking up on social cues, as evidenced by his falling out with Shuro.

Fandom

Laios' intense special interest in monsters, combined with his obliviousness to social cues, are commonly interpreted in fandom as symptoms of autism.

Pairings

Fandom generally tends to depict Laios as sexually submissive.

Other

Someone asked James Marsters in an interview once to comment on Spike's (his character on Buffy the Vampire Slayer) mental problems, and his response was "Oh, he's mental, but that's not a problem for him." That's what this reminds me of.

Good for him 🧁[1]
