Mark Hamilton

In 2016, Disney badly misspelled Hamill's name on a security badge, a fact the actor was quick to tweet to his followers.[2] Since then, it is not uncommon for fans to tweet at Hamill about Mark Hamilton, and for Hamill to refer to himself as Mark Hamilton in tweets. In one instance Hamill posted on Facebook that Mark Hamilton had met the cast of Hamilton.[3]

Mark Hamilton was there, too? What are the odds he would be at the same place at the same time I was?! #ShockingSouthendCoincidence [4]

Posts and comments incorrectly naming Hamill as Mark Hamilton have appeared on Reddit [5] and Tumblr.[6] This has caused confusion for some fans unaware of this inside joke.
