Redundancy with ExpandArticle

This template seems to serve the same purpose as Template:ExpandArticle. I think it can be deleted, but if others think it's a useful distinction it should add a Gardening category like Category:Pages that need expansion (Category:Pages with empty sections?) so editors can more easily find pages that are flagged with the template. --sparc 16:07, 10 September 2022 (UTC)

needs expansion and empty space for me are different, because a page needs expansion means it is small (not stub) and has multiple empty or incomplete sections. Whereas empty space is a good sized page that is missing some small parts of section or information -- Ellakbhesse (talk) 16:37, 10 September 2022 (UTC)

I think I would agree with Sparcicle on this one, it seems like too minute of a difference between "needs expansion" and "this section is empty." Editors often do already include the needs expansion notice in sections that are empty. So, the needs expansion notice already seems to fill this roll and I have not personally seen the empty noticed used before, even though it looks to have been made in 2021. Hi all, I have added the deletion proposed flag, and I'm hoping that will inspire some more discussion in the next two weeks. This template is currently used on 73 pages, so while not as many as Expand Article, the deletion will still impact a large number of pages. --Auntags (talk) 19:32, 3 July 2023 (UTC)

Thanks! I think the majority of people appear to be in favour (or at least, not opposed) to deletion. User:Pinky G Rocket, could you please run the AWB to replace empty with expandarticle.
