Talk:Timeline of Organization for Transformative Works

I thought a page that "summed" up the history of OTW would be helpful and interesting, one that tracked the ebbs and flow of topics, that gathered issues, and could serve as a jumping-off point for other pages.

The original plan for this page was a focus meant to highlight major-ish events in OTW history, such as naming of the servers, buying new servers, major board changes and discussion, growing pain touch points, the discussion about tags, the discussions and decisions about hosting meta, the academic journal releases, major controversies...

Links to fannish discussion are encouraged, but in order to keep this page from becoming too unwieldy, these links should be footnotes to the corresponding major discussion point. Either that, or make a separate page to highlight and collect comments on major issues, and then link that page to this timeline.

Even if you don't know the details of a topic, add it to a year, and hopefully someone will be able to sort it out and add more.

In any case, it's a start, right? I'm hoping this is a good plan for an important, but hopefully not too far-reaching and over-whelming goal. --MPH (talk) 14:24, 26 October 2015 (UTC)
