Talk:Favorite

Maybe this needs a disambiguation? Or maybe just a disambig line, because in some fannish forums such as dA "to favorite" (or more commonly just shortened to "fav"), means to rec/bookmark with the favorite function on that site, and that is what I first think of when I hear this.--RatCreature 12:10, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

I didn't think of that. I would say adding a disambiguation line to rec/bookmark (do we have a page for bookmark/bookmarking? Do we need one?) makes sense. --Doro 12:15, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
I think bookmarking doesn't need anything, I meant more the slang aspect of "Thanks for the fav." replies, that might be part of fannish jargon, and fb etiquette discussions when you are alerted to people bookmarking and tracking your new posts like you are on dA and iirc also on ff.net (at least I've gotten PMs with author's thanking me for bookmarking their stories), i.e. do you need to thank for a fav in a comment to not be rude or is this clicking not similar enough to comment fb to need a thanks. --RatCreature 12:52, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
