Rick Grimes/Carol Peletier, also known as Carick, is the het pairing of Rick Grimes and Carol Peletier in The Walking Dead fandom.
I love their relationship for so many reasons. It's so rich, complex and I like how it progressively evolved with time. They have been through so much together since they first met at the camp and I feel like they are driven by the same force that ultimately makes them stronger survivors than most people. The love they have for children is what motivates them to toughen up and adapt themselves to whatever is around the corner.thesilentbeauty

TV Series
Carol and Rick first meet when Rick joins the group of survivors at the Atlanta quarry camp in Season 1. At the beginning of Season 2 Carol's daughter Sophia goes missing, Rick finds her, but he loses her again when he tries to draw walkers away from her location. The first half of Season 2 is spent searching for Sophia, which ultimately turns out to be futile when it is discovered that Sophia has been bit and turned into a walker. Carol is shown to have a close relationship with Rick's wife Lori, and she cares for Rick's daughter Judith after Lori dies in childbirth. In Season 4 a deadly virus spreads through the prison, Carol kills two fellow survivors in hopes of stopping the sickness. When Rick discovers her actions he banishes Carol from the prison. Soon after the prison falls when The Governor attacks. Carol and Rick are reunited at the beginning of Season 5 when Carol saves the group from Terminus. From that point forward they are shown working together for the benefit of the group. At the end of Season 6 Carol leaves the Alexandria Safe Zone and seeks refuge at The Kingdom.

Controversies
- Banishment: There was division between fans over Rick's banishment of Carol. Some fans agreed with Rick's decision to banish Carol, believing she should not have acted alone when she killed Karen and David.[2] However, others pointed out that Rick acted unilaterally without consulting other members of the council, and that other survivors had done equally horrific things and still been accepted as part of the group.[3]
