Paul Heyman (b. 1965) is an American Professional Wrestling manager, commentator, promoter and booker. He started in the 1980s as a photographer before becoming a manager in 1987. He worked for various territories (Florida, Memphis, the AWA, and ICW/IWCCW [New England]), before arriving in the National Wrestling Alliance in late 1988. He stayed with World Championship Wrestling until he was fired in early 1993. He arrived in Extreme Championship Wrestling as a manager in summer 1993, taking over as booker after Eddie Gilbert quit. Heyman eventually bought the company from founder Tod Gordon. After ECW folded in 2001, Heyman jumped to World Wrestling Entertainment and stayed until 2006. He returned in 2012. He has worked primarily as a Heel. Among the many wrestlers he has managed over the years are "Stunning" Steve Austin, Ravishing Rick Rude, Kurt Angle, Taz, Sabu, and Brock Lesnar.
