"Clarke pulls the ear buds out of her ears and closes the anatomy textbook that's on the table in front of her. She yawns and straightens out her back, stretching her arms above her head. Her eyes lazily scan the bleakness of the library around her, the scent of day old coffee and sweat riddled in the air. It's quiet; the only sounds besides muffled chatter are that of pages turning, keyboards clicking, and the occasional whirr of the photocopier."

Reactions and Reviews

This was absolutely precious. The way you panned out their friendship and confusing it was, the way you referenced characters of importance in their lives that affect them yet kept Lexa and Clarke centralized, all the scenarios where they had to pause and think about whether they were more than best friends. This was so cute, and you kept them in character so well. Excellent job![1]

So fluffy, so nice.
Right in the dose of sweetness that we needed.
Thank you.
This is beautiful.
Thank you.[2]

A couple practically dating/in-a-relationship while oblivious is my favorite godamn trope in the entire universe. Bonus points for other people commenting on it. Triple bonus points for it being godammed cute and charming[3]

I loved the ease of their progression into more. It felt like getting a glimpse into the perfect love story unfolding before the characters eyes and they are none the wiser. Wonderful. :)[4]

Aww. I liked the line that goes something like "Where do friendships end and relationships begin? When do we take one step forward together, or one step back and apart?" Really lovely wording.

I liked all the little moments and touches that show how well Lexa and Clarke know each other, all the little ways they show they care. I think it's really cute how everyone seems to see it before they do.

Seriously you do that so well. Showing the little intimacies - like the smell of their shampoo, or knowing where the spare key is, or how they take their coffee - that really show how well two people know each other. It's really lovely to see it with the two of them.

Thank you for finishing this even after 307.[5]

sweet domestic bliss. i loved the subtle octaven and grandma jane. and how everyone except the love birds seemed to know what was going on. all the characters in here make the story feel that much more alive and make the experience feel that much more enjoyable. this was a really good read, i really enjoyed this one. thanks for writing[6]

I woke up with a bad dream so I read with the hopes of cleansing my memory luckily I stumbled to this piece. I absolutely like how simple and romantic this is. It could be a story of someone. It's relatable and dorky in some parts. I like it a lot! Thank you. It cheered me up this early morn'.[7]

Everything was super adorable and super sweet i wish i know better word to describe what you makes me feel inside. I was like arghhh soooo sweet, screaming inside so many times. Just the first scene in the library already made me go aww why this so sweet. Thank god for grandma Jane now they actually do something about it.[8]

Everything I thought I was getting into and more, loved it :)[9]
