| Description: | Graphic from a post among the 2009 Five Years On invitations on Maryrenaultfics. Postcard received by Andrew Raynes, a character in The Charioteer. Andrew's invitation takes the form of a postcard. Both sides are shown, with the front of the card set on top of the message, partly obscuring it. The photo on the front shows a colour photograph of a country view: a gate leading to a field. An actual postcard seems to have been used, certainly for the basis of the back of the card, which bears a postmark and other stamps, something that one member specifically complimented. |
