A term from The Sentinel. Canonically, Jim Ellison can get utterly distracted by something (a sight, a smell, etc.) to the point of not noticing anything else around him when he's not in full control of his senses. In fanfic, this is a semi-regular experience, something that often only Blair Sandburg's Guide Voice can pull Jim out of.
