About Zeitgeistic

Zeitgeistic, or Zeit, is long-time established writer in the Harry Potter fandom, having published her first HP fic in October 2005 under her original pseudo of faire_weather. Though she has written several other pairings, Harry/Draco is her most prolific pairing. She has admitted to sharing a birthday with Tom Riddle/Voldemort, that Hedwig is her most regretted death, and that she has a fondness for dark humor, sassy Harry, and all-things-Hermione. Zeitgeistic occasionally dabbles in the Sherlock, Downton Abbey, and Call the Midwife fandoms.

Zeitgeistic is known for always being open to a chat, responding quickly to all the comments she receives on her fics and striking up conversations with other fans in Discord. She has a soft spot for nostalgic, early fandom works, and hosted an "HD Classics bookclub" on the Drarry discord for several months, which brought veteran HD readers and newer fans together to explore how trends and tropes have changed in Harry/Draco fandom.

Her quintessential work is Azoth, which is a dizzying story of physical, metaphysical, and inner alchemy, told through Harry's POV. It is a Harry/Draco dramatic romance, and comes in at 88,733 words. Azoth has impressive stats on AO3: 11,929 Kudos, 245k Hits, 1,770 Comments and 4,340 Bookmarks, making it 14th on the list for HP sorted by Kudos, as of December, 2018.

Zeitgeistic is a published author of contemporary fantasy and MM fantasy romance.

History

Zeitgeistic is on Snowgall's list of veteran writers. Her most popular fics are Azoth and You First, Loser and her longest is the Hush of War series, at 430,000 words, over two parts. She's known for writing long fic, pining, and characterizing Harry as sassy, funny, and capable. In her early years, she ran a Seamus fest and created digital fanart, which is now hosted on her AO3.

Quotes from Friends and Fans

frnklymrshnkly: Zeit's been in fandom for over a decade, and she's written some beloved classics. Azoth, I'd say, is her biggest but she also participated in Erised for a number of consecutive years and produced a number of really well-loved works there such as Potential Gravity, Systemic Morality and Shibboleths. Writing wise, I'd say she's known for blending humour and emotions, for exploring magical theory in great depth, and for bold plot choices.

aibidil: She's known for really rich magical theory that incorporates mythical elements like alchemy, Atlantis, etc. Also, she has that amazing fic about the hogwarts houses, Golden Age and fics touching on climate issues, etc., but they are always really fun and engaging and have great characters.
