X Marks the Spot is a Charles/Erik AU by thehoyden. It is a fusion with Indiana Jones.
Summary: "The year is 1962, and Charles Xavier is a professor of archaeology who knows how his students feel, whether he wants to or not. He spends his spare time researching a mythical artifact, but he knows better than anyone that X never, ever marks the spot."
In this story Charles and Erik hunt for the Tesseract from the Captain America movie.

Secondly, I was so painfully aware of the scroll bar the whole time I was reading it because I desperately did not want this to end and it's very rare for me to ever feel that way about a story. This was so much fun - it's what I consider a romp and I *love* a good romp. I simply adore Charles and Erik in this and the actual adventure and search for the relic was utterly awesome, especially how it tied into mutant powers. Really - what a fun fic."[1]
