Wizards of Waverly Place was a Disney Channel fantasy teen television series that had large fandom.
Canon
The series is about three wizards-in-training, Alex Russo, Justin Russo, and Max Russo, who are siblings being taught by their father (a former wizard) and going to school while working at their family sandwich shop.
It shares the same universe as Hannah Montana, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, and That's So Raven, which was seen in the crossover episode of Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana. Although That's So Raven characters did not appear in the crossover, Disney Channel previously had a crossover episode with had Raven, Hannah Montana and Zack & Cody.

They are often joined by Zeke Beakerman, Justin's best friend, Professor Crumbs, the headmaster for a wizard school, Mr. Laritate, the principal for their high school, and Mason Greyback, a werewolf who dates Alex on-and-off again.

Crossovers are fairly common for WOWP. The most popular crossover for WOWP is Camp Rock, often pairing up Alex Russo with one of the Jonas Brothers characters, such as Alex/Nate[1].
Shipping
The most popular pairing for WOWP is Justin/Alex, despite the fact it is incest and against TPTB wishes.
Other pairings, however, do exist but are much rarer: Harper/Alex, Max/Justin, Harper/Justin, Harper/Max, Max/Alex, Harper/Zeke, Alex/Mason, Stevie/Alex, Alex/Zeke, Justin/Juliet, Alex/Mason, and Dean/Alex.
