Jemma/Grant is the non-canon pairing of Agents Jemma Simmons and Grant Ward from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Fandom

Jemma/Grant is one of the more popular het pairings in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fandom, usually grouped together in a threesome with Leo Fitz.

The pairing immediately appeared after the first episode aired. The pairing quickly took off after the next few episodes that were released in October. Although it probably wasn't until the episodes "FZZT" and "The Well" in November that the pairing increased in size, both had significant amount of Grant/Jemma scenes that are often seen in fanworks such as gifs and picspams on Tumblr and fanfiction at AO3 and FFN. By the end of the first Season, Simmons/Ward remained one of the top popular pairings for the AOS fandom.

The shipping name for the pair is BioSpecialist after voting at the SimmonsWard Tumblr blog that hosted a poll to decide with what name to go with, although Biochemical Agent, Chemical Agent and Biochem and Bombs can still be used to describe the pairing.

• The Fall - Episode tag to "FZZT", especially the scene where Ward jumps immediately after Jemma despite the danger of it is very important to fans and is thus often seen in fanworks or talked about. It's often dealing with the missing scene of Grant catching Jemma and injecting her with the anti-serum and their landing in the water, or dealing with the aftermath or build up before he jumps after her. • Hydra!Jemma - Soon after it was revealed that Ward was Hydra, an interest of fanworks/headcanons where Jemma was also Hydra and was partners with Ward appeared.
  • In Season 2 it was revealed to be partially canonized, where it's revealed that Jemma joins Hydra as a double agent. This usually inspires works to focus on Jemma confronting Ward in prison and/or asking for help with her undercover.
