The Visitorverse is a series of Assassin's Creed fanfics by multiple authors that began with Visitors by Riona, and spun off from there. The main concept, inspired by Sense8, has eight of the main AC protagonists (chronologically: Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, Edward Kenway, Haytham Kenway, Shay Cormac, Connor Kenway, Aveline de Grandpré, and Desmond Miles) seeing and communicating with each other across time.
As of December 2016 there are 19 works by three authors in the official Visitorverse series itself, plus additional works by other authors. Multiple pairings are featured, both canon and non, het and slash, and also some three-person ships. OCs crop up too. Some entries in the series are disconnected from the main storyline, such as Visiting the Pokémon Centre, a Pokémon AU.
The concept has even spread beyond AC fandom to inspire Visitors in the Cosmere by dragoninatrenchcoat, a fanfic of Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere series, and the ten duel commandments by deltacrow, a Yu-Gi-Oh! fic.
Summary
Altaïr, Ezio, Edward, Haytham, Shay, Connor, Aveline and Desmond all hang out through time travel, of a sort. Desmond attracts suffering like an extremely unfortunate magnet.
