orphan pages

What makes a page an orphan page? How do you fix it? --MPH (talk) 22:55, 31 January 2015 (UTC)

Orphan pages are pages that no other page on fanlore links to and so they can really only be found through searching for them specifically or if you're just browsing through a category they are associated with. They basically dont get any love. I try to find a way and at least one other page on fanlore where it makes sense to link from. Like, if an orphaned page is for a vid in a fandom, I see if it can't be added as an example work on a fandom page or on a page for a specific ship/trope. Stuff like that. There's a special automatically generated list of orphaned pages here (you can also find it on the SpecialPages page). --Alex (talk) 23:15, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
I had thought it was because it was a page that didn't have any wikilinks on it. I'd add one, and the page would still stay on the list. I think its a good project. Thank you for working on it. --MPH (talk) 23:23, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
pages with no wiki links are called deadend pages by wiki software (there's a special page for those too). And thanks, working of orphan pages gives me a way to contribute to fandoms I'm not familiar with at least a little. :) --Alex (talk) 23:30, 31 January 2015 (UTC)

Slash as OOC

What a super subject. I run across comments about this all the time. Now I'll have a place to put them! --MPH (talk) 16:06, 24 February 2015 (UTC)

Yay for more comments!--Alex (talk) 16:08, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
They tend to be older comments, as I think that as a subject, it is/was one of the anti-arguments before many people were more comfortable with the whole idea. I've always found it a fascinating discussion. --MPH (talk) 16:15, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
