Originally known Alice in Stonyland. From 1997-2002, she was the webmistress of Stonyland, a resource web site dedicated to fans of the action-adventure book series, Mack Bolan. Her first foray into fandom was through Mack Bolan, then Highlander, then due South. In 2002, after deciding to stop being the keeper of Stonyland, she adopted the name Raine Wynd. From 2000-2010, she was the keeper of the Joe Stories Archive, a currently inactive archive of stories featuring Joe Dawson from Highlander as the primary character, which was originally started by Heidi McKeon. This archive has been offline since spring 2010 due to a perceived lack of interest.

Raine has been a moderator or owner or both of multiple fannish communities at various times in her fannish career, including the Mack Bolan Mailing List, the Sentinel Fic Finders community on LJ, the Hawaii 5-0 fiction community on DW, and various others.

Fannish history includes:

  • posted first fanfic to a Highlander list in 1998
  • one of the first authors to write Highlander: the Raven fanfic and one of HL's most prolific authors
  • co-moderator of Strange World mailing list (now defunct)
  • developed a timeline that joined HLTR with HL, which was used by some authors for their fic.
  • part of the unsuccessful effort to save Strange World from cancellation
  • part of the Beta Triumvirate with Amand-r and Dana Woods, which launched the Lyric Wheel Challenge
  • posted first fanfic in Eureka fandom.
  • posted one of the first slash stories in Hawaii 5-0 (new series) fandom.
  • serving as the first Welcome Committee member for Escapade for two years.

In July 2000, she posted one of the first Ray/Ray fics (The Mad Season Trilogy) in dueSouth fandom, at a time when the pairing was still fairly controversial.

In 2002, she posted one of the first WB/HL crossovers.

From June 2014 to the con's end, Raine served as the social media coordinator for Shatterdome Seattle, a crowdfunded Pacific Rim fan convention held May 3, 2015.

Raine is equal-opportunity writer and reader who tends to like exploring the dynamics between people, especially people who have secrets to hide.

Notable Works

Conjunction and Conjecture One of the first Witchblade/Highlander crossover fics posted in 2002.
