Biography
Morgan Dawn that's me. I am a multi-media fan who loves sci-fi and fantasy. I have been involved in reading and writing both gen and slash fan fiction since 1994.
I have written numerous short stories and a novella in Due South, The Professionals, Starsky & Hutch and Supernatural fandoms. I have also been making amateur music videos since the mid-1990s. My stories and my vids can be found on my website: http://www.morgandawn.com
Chronology
- 1993 I join the Virgule Mailing List, the first slash mailing list on Usenet.
- 1995 I create my first songvid which can be found here: http://www.morgandawn.com/song_videos.htm
- 1995 I publish my first slash story "The Two Trees" (The Professionals) as part of Manacles Press, a fanzine publisher. The story can be found here: http://www.morgandawn.com/two_trees.htm
- 1995 I become co-list admin of Virgule Mailing List
- 1999 On the eve of the new Millennium, Morgan Dawn single-handedly stopped the 375th Invasion of the Little Grey Aliens (Invasions No. 1 through 374 foundered when each commanding General learned that someone had (once again) failed to bring the microwave to reheat their vast stores of frozen cheese burritos. But by the 375th Invasion the invading alien hordes had discovered that they could harness the power of solar flares and the invasion proceeded). Exactly how Morgan Dawn beat back the Little Grey Aliens is still a closely guarded secret, but Pentagon sources did mention the word "spiny" several times in communiques that were inadvertently declassified. The Senate is secretly debating whether to award Morgan Dawn the Congressional Medal of Honor or to send a page out to grab some of those leftover cheese burritos.
- 2002 I publish my first slash novel: "The Long Way Home" Due South through fanzine publisher Kathleen Resch. The novel can be found here: http://www.morgandawn.com/longway1.htm
- 2003 I begin volunteering to help run the Bascon vid show; this ends in 2007.
