I'm a multifannish German gamer with a strong fantasy background: I, too, was a Mary Sue in Middle Earth. Nowadays I prefer urban/alternative fantasy.
I'm a fifty/fifty (old-skool) western RPGs (BioWare/Black Isle!) and JRPGs fan and currently particularly excited about Tales of Vesperia, Dragon Age: Origins and BioWare's forthcoming Mass Effect 2'.
In my non-gaming time I'm also a member of the Organization for Transformative Works Translation committee.
