FJBryan is one of the moderators at The Professionals Lounge, an online discussion site for all fans of Pros. The Lounge has slashers present, but the owner of the site prefers to keep it 'gen-only' so the fanfic there has no slash. The Lounge ([1]) features in-depth discussion of all details about the show, with single threads devoted to each episode, general chat threads on everything from eye color to car upholstery, and lots and lots of Bodie and Doyle. Fans who need precise information on weaponry used in the show, surviving motors, wristwatches worn by the stars, locations where episodes were shot, and even guest stars who appeared on the show more than once, can find everything they need at The Lounge...plus other equally obsessed fans who will want to talk about it with them. FJBryan feels right at home among obsessed fans!

Prior to being in The Professionals fandom, FJBryan wrote in two other fandoms, The Lord of the Rings and Queer As Folk (US). All of her work in those fandoms has been published under a different name. She believes in separate personas for separate fandoms, which may sound weird to some, but it works for her. She is monogamous when it comes to fannish life: one fandom, one OTP at a time. LOTR lasted about 2 years, QAF lasted about 2 years, but The Professionals appears to be for life: 5+ years and still strong. That probably has something to do with the high quality of writing in Pros as a fandom, the large number of novels/novellas in this fandom when compared to others, and the people who she has come to know in Pros on a personal basis--there's nothing like knowing other fans to increase the love of a show. FJBryan usually attends MediaWest, and sees her homies there.

Here on Fanlore, FJB has put a lot of time into the articles on The Professionals and the subarticle about Bodie. When she's got time, she'll probably continue with the Bodie/Doyle page too.

FJBryan, as readers may have noticed, is given to speaking about herself in the third person. She's trying to overcome this with therapy. All donations are appreciated.

FJBryan has written several stories in The Professionals fandom (to be found at The Circuit Archive), and orchestrated the games played at the 2007 Close Quarters con. If she has one, her claim to fame is the creation of clues for Porny Pros Pictionary at CQCon, from which the fandom may never recover. --FJB 21:46, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
