The Thin Blue Line Contest was an slash fan fiction contest that resulted in a published e-zine. According to the contest page: The idea came up after a group of friends (who later became the Thin Blue Line Team) realized that they were hungry for more 'case driven' Sentinel fiction. Luckily, Highlander slashers had already setup a good example of how to entice great writers with their Schmarlequin contest."
Authors submitted their fan fiction and readers voted on the stories (which were anonymous). Each of the writers who submitted stories to the contest received a color print of the contest art, signed by the Theban Band and suitable for framing. The authors also received first through third place Thin Blue Line Award Logos to place on their websites.
