Reactions and Reviews

2007

Here's the thing -- the first few parts of this fic are really, really rough. Once the plot picks up, however, the writing smooths out and the story draws you in. If you're patient, you'll find a great story. The plot: after (foolishly) traipsing off to Mexico two days after being drowned, Blair gets even sicker (if only canon were so logical). The story follows Blair's illness from the drowning to recovery (several months later); and I don't know if Lyn is in the medical profession or if she just did a lot of research, but the medical facts all sound reasonable giving the story as a whole a lovely feel of authenticity. Plus, in a truly Sentinel twist, you get a mystery in the last half of the story (because God forbid Blair get medical treatment without a potential serial killer being nearby). Best of all, on top of all of that wonderful h/c goodness you get the added bonus of a developing relationship between Jim and Blair. If you're looking for hurt/comfort with a first-time twist, this is the story for you.[1]

This story is perfect. Every chapter was awesome. Great job! [2]

hi, wow, really really good story. the only thing I gotta criticise is the 'murder at the reha-centre' part of the plot. It came up and was over rather quickly and appeared quite forced, not a natural conclusion of the story at all. It seemed as though you thought that a story about a detective really needs some kind of crime element as well. Well, frankly, it didn't. or at least not in this way. [3]

YAY! Finnaly finished. Loved it. Intersting developments and good Jim/Blair interaction. Great work! ;) [4]
