The Vampire Trilogy is a Hanson fanfic series by Krystal. It was written from 2001 to 2008, with the third story left unfinished.

Just Another Victim

The first story in the trilogy, this story details the events leading up to and following Taylor's conversion by a group of childish vampires with crushes on him. At first, he struggles to remain with his family and lead his normal life after returning from a widely publicized death, but eventually he is forced to move in with the leader of the group of vampires who turned him and learn how to be part of their world.

Once More With Feeling

The second story in the trilogy, this story details Taylor's trouble to fit in with the vampire world in New York. Being a celebrity in real life makes him even more of a celebrity in their world, as does his connection with the powerful vampire Beatriz. His position puts both him and his mortal family at risk from other vampires.

The Song Remains The Same

The third story in the trilogy, only three chapters were published.

Reactions and Reviews

From reviews by Bethany on PlaceToHide.net:[1][2]

Much like in The Quiet One, what really sticks out here are the relationships. Krystal takes what could be just a basic horror story and makes it all about the family relationships. I really love the contrast between the Hanson family values and the very, very different world of the vampires. That contrast only makes each world richer.

I’ve decided that I have a serious love/hate relationship with Krystal’s writing. The hate only comes in because I can guarantee that whatever she dreams up to put her characters through will always be worse than anything I’ve tried to anticipate. Yet, I’m still there, hanging on every word. It only takes three chapters for Once More With Feeling to break my heart. That might be a record.

From a review by Barbara:[3]

This story is full of suspense, action, terror, humor and just about everything else you could possibly want. I know some people are probably put off by the fact that it’s a vampire story. Some people just don’t like that sort of thing, but give this story a chance. There’s a lot of hansony stuff in there that will keep you interested even if vampires are not your thing. If nothing else, Taylor gets to kick some ass every now and then, and I know you have to like that. ‘Just Another Victim’ is (to use Taylor’s favorite word) amazing. I love it and you’ll love it too.
