The Miscellaneous Affairs Affair is a gen 172-page Man from Uncle/Adderly crossover novel by Aloma Pedersen & Greg Crowe. The page count of this version appears to reflect the version typed on the computer.

This zine had a difficult birth: first typewritten and turned down by the printer, the editors tried to get it produced on a computer to reduce costs. When that was delayed, they ended up printing the original copy.

At one point, the editors wrote in The Monthly: "We've got a TOUGH editor who thinks we should junk it and start over, but we're just going to fix the glaring errors and let you decide."

Summaries

From an ad in Media Monitor: "The sabotage of a nearly-completed power plant and the resulting deaths of two UNCLE agents lead Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin to Canada. There, they meet ISI agent V.H. Adderly. Together, the three agents set out to smash an insiduous THRUSH plot."

From a 1993 ad in GAZ: "The computer generated copy is not ready yet so we are printing up copies using the original type written text. Anyone unhappy with the typewritten version may exchange it for the computer generated copy when that becomes available."

From an ad in The Monthly: "The computer-generated copy is STILL not ready yet. We don't want to inconvenience our customes any more than we already have, so we are printing up copies using the typewritten text. It can be exchanged later on for computer text when that is available if you are unhappy with it. 300 pages, and we are back to $25."

From a 1995 ad in GAZ: "June 1987: The sabotage of an early completed power plant and the resulting deaths of two UNCLE agents lead Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin to Canada, where they meet ISI agent VH Adderly. Together, the three agents try to smash an insidious THRUSH plot to take control of a Canadian industrial giant. The computer text( our one and only for the foreseeable future) is here!
