The Incredible Hulk is a Marvel Comics superhero franchise originating with the 1962 comic book series by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. The series focuses on Bruce Banner as the main character and alter ego of the eponymous Hulk.

Hulk first appeared in The Incredible Hulk #1 (May 1962).

• Bruce Banner who becomes Hulk
• Rick Jones, friend and sidekick - eventually becomes A-Bomb
• Betty Ross, love interest for Bruce - eventually becomes Red She-Hulk
• General "Thunderbolt" Ross, Betty's father and main nemesis for Bruce/Hulk - briefly became Red Hulk.
