"The Ghost and Mrs. Muir" was one of my favorite television series as a child, starring the wonderful Hope Lange and Edward Mulhare. When Mrs. Hamill decided to Qui/Obi it, it seemed inevitable.

Ben Kenobi is a young man looking for solitude, who finds it in a house haunted by Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn for the last two hundred years, long after the Order has ceased to exist. The galaxy is at peace, so the Jedi are unnecessary in Ben's time. He only knows of them as romantic legends and is eager to learn more about his unusual housemate.

The problem is that Qui-Gon doesn't want to share his home with anyone, so he tries to drive away all comers Forcefully, including Ben. Luckily, he is a perfect match for Qui-Gon in stubbornness, as well as everything else.

After a prickly start, they become friends, and eventually both of them yearn for more. However, Qui-Gon can't touch or be touched. What to do?

Mrs. Hamill comes up with a satisfying answer to that question. You'll fall in love with Ben and Qui-Gon, just as they fall in love with each other.

A haunting read. ;)

This is an AU of the movie The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, but I can promise you that unlike the original, this version won't break your heart. Not permanently anyway. (What can I say, I'm allergic to heartbreak.)
