The Alpha Gate is the Stargate SG-1 fanfiction archive for writers from the Alpha Gate Yahoo! Group mailing list.
The focus is mainly on Jack/Daniel slash and team gen fic but the archive accepts fanfiction of all genres and pairings. However, it doesn't include stories from Stargate SG-1 season 6 (the season without Daniel Jackson) and from Stargate Atlantis. From 2002 to 2006 the archive had a Meridian fix-it section, for fic that fixed the ending of season 5 where Daniel died (before he came back in season 7).
The archive uses the eFiction sofware and hosts almost 4,000 stories (Gen 1293, Slash 2405, Het 247, Threesomes/Moresomes36).[1]
In September 2017, it was announced that The Alpha Gate would be moving to the Archive of Our Own as an Open Doors Project.[2] The import was completed in November 2017.
