The Text Post Meme is a general multifannish image-based meme circulating on Tumblr that juxtaposes screencaps (or occasionally gifs) with out-of-context screencaps of unrelated text posts. (Tumblr provides multiple posting formats: "text posts" are optimized for the written word.) The combination is meant to be funny or insightful. Some also use headlines from satirical news website The Onion.
The meme was started on 27 July 2014 by swagitsune with this Teen Wolf post: I'm bored. The Tumblr tag dates to 1 August 2014. As of 2020, the meme is still ongoing.
