Is this article still a stub, or does it seem substantial enough that the "stub" header could be removed? Kass 12:58, 4 September 2009 (UTC)

IMO it's more than a stub.--Ratcreature 13:14, 4 September 2009 (UTC)

Hi Kass, we both had the same idea at the same time! I'll keep most of your changes and just clean up the subheads a bit. --Msilverstar 16:13, 3 September 2009 (UTC)

awesome -- thank you, msilverstar! Kass 16:20, 3 September 2009 (UTC)

Not just a fantastic page, also has nice inlink from Neuroanthropology.net: Sex, Lies, and IRB Tape: Netporn to Surveyfail Great work, all! --Msilverstar 22:29, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

If a template is used all fields of the template will show, whether they appear in the entry text brackets or not. You can't edit a template through editing the article, so removing form fields there that then still are printed is very confusing, because you see stuff in the entry that doesn't seem to be in the text you can edit at all. It makes no sense to delete unused template parts. You have to use a different template to achieve different fields.--Ratcreature 08:33, 7 September 2009 (UTC)

FYI: editing this page slightly to make the Neuroanthropology link work properly. Kass 13:05, 7 September 2009 (UTC)

I'm new here and don't want to edit the actual page and risk screwing it up, but just wanted to add a note that anatsuno and I mirrored a version of shaggirl: A response from our friendly scientists... as of ~5 PM on Sept. 2nd, 2009, before Ogas deleted all the comments that he made there. In case that would be useful as a source of the direct quotations from Ogas cited on the SurveyFail page. Cesare 5:31 PM, Sept. 7 2009.

Also new here, also don't want to screw up, but I wanted to mention that I also wrote a filk for this, and there are a couple partial filks at the same journal. Do you list all filks here or just the first one?--quinfirefrorefiddle 01:24, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

Welcome, Cesare and Quinfirefrorefiddle! :-) Don't worry about screwing things up -- everything's under construction, it's a wiki, and our mistakes (mine included) are easy to fix. Cesare, I don't have the strength to read Ogas' quotations at this moment but you should totally add your mirror link to the page somewhere. And Quinfirefrorefiddle, I linked to the one filk because it was the first one I'd seen, but more links = awesome -- I will add yours too! Kass 01:49, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

Deadlink

Reference 29, the publishersweekly link doesn't work. Does anyone have a working link? Lanna 17:57, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

nm, google is my friend. Lanna 18:07, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

add "Perspectives on Fans" category?

Should this page get the additional category "perspectives on fans", so it also shows up in that cat for people looking for any and all existing "interactions between fans and those who study them" fl pages? -Sk 02:49, 25 January 2012 (UTC)

Sounds sensible to me. Cesy 20:09, 25 January 2012 (UTC)

Dead Links

Footnotes #18 and #19 are dead links. Any way to revive? --Mrs. Potato Head 12:38, 25 April 2012 (UTC)

Let a message here but have no idea anyone is monitoring it.--MeeDee 16:02, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
