Talk:Edwardian

Based on the content here, it looks like what you actually want is just Edwardian AU and List of Edwardian Fandoms (or maybe Edwardian Fandoms with some discussion of common features/appeal). See List of Military Fandoms. When the fanwork setting is the same as the canon setting, it's hard to see how it's a separate trope.--æþel (talk) 04:46, 13 August 2013 (UTC)

I think it might be me who started this all off, by splitting Regency AU off Regency, with the rationale that fanworks for the two are completely different. Regency does seem to merit an article because there is fannish original fic set in a Heyeresque universe, and crossovers between Austen/Heyer & several other Regency-era fandoms. Also "Regency" or "Regency romance" is widely used for romance novels set during the British Georgian/Regency period.
I'm not so sure about the other time slices. I thought I knew what "Victorian" represents, but Harpie & I have completely different ideas on the definition, which makes me wonder how well it works as an article topic. Espresso Addict (talk) 05:25, 13 August 2013 (UTC)
