I seem to remember, from HP fandom, humorfic (by which was meant crackfic, whether or not the term was in common use) having an extremely bad reputation. Then again, I mostly hung out on fic parody sites and might have a skewed view of the sitch. Does anyone else remember this? - I don't know about HP fandom, but some ff.net anime fandoms had a lot of such sugar-high fic, usually written by younger (high school or below) fans. I can't remember if it was called crackfic, however. It's a genre distinctly different from the crackfic of certain modern fandoms such as SGA, which tends toward more conscious exercises in absurdism...but then I haven't been regularly on ff.net for a while; they might still be common there? --Xparrot 19:26, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
Crack!vid - subsection here or separate page?
so there's a fanvid trend of "crack!vids" that are full of commentaries/fan reactions to canon developments. Crack vid redirects here, so my question is: should I put the entry on crack vids here or as a separate page? Thoughts? --Alex (talk) 00:09, 15 December 2014 (UTC)
