Talk:Chris Jericho

I think we might want to keep this one, the article is not at well done, but this wrestler does have a fan following. I am not in wrestling fandom at all, but I have encountered his fans on places like reddit, there also 250 pieces of fanfiction for him on A03, which is a great deal more than some other wrestlers. I am unsure what the best decision is, but if we did keep the page I think it would definitely have to be reworked -- Kingstoken (talk) 15:50, 7 May 2019 (UTC)

Thank you. I'm putting these templates on pages so we can get a feel for what to toss, and what we need to make better. This sounds like an excellent example of the latter. --MPH (talk) 16:26, 7 May 2019 (UTC)
I think keeping the page itself is fine considering the fanworks but I think it should be reduced down to the stubbiest of stubs — I suppose JKFAN was trying their best but (assuming we can't find anyone familiar with this person's fandom) I would reduce the intro/bio section to basically just "Chris Jericho is an American-born Canadian-raised professional wrestler." and remove almost everything in the infobox, too, because it's impossible to tell from JKFAN's stuff what about this person is actually fannishly relevant. Also, I went in and removed the gross crap about Stephanie McMahon because I don't know who she is but she deserves better than having some creep add trash talk about her to our wiki. - Hoopla (talk) 16:36, 7 May 2019 (UTC)
Thank you, Hoopla, for deleting that stuff. I should have caught that first time around. --MPH (talk) 17:59, 7 May 2019 (UTC)
No problem! It's really hard to parse through all these pages and edits and remove everything and you're doing a really great job, I'm just glad I could help out. - Hoopla (talk) 18:16, 7 May 2019 (UTC)
