Talk:Body Modification

Do we want to include body modifications as a fanwork? There are plenty of fannish tattoos, not to mention the people who get their ears reshaped into elf ears. --æþel (talk) 01:44, 3 March 2013 (UTC)

Also, what about Blair's nipple ring? Is it fanon? Tell me more!--æþel (talk) 04:45, 3 March 2013 (UTC)

It's fanon. From the episode Cypher. Blair talks about getting something tattooed. Jim says 'right above the nipple ring?' and Blair says "you know about that?" Jim says 'Yeah - and, let me tell you something as your blessed protector, if you do that, I'm going to kick you down seven flights to the lobby'... Blair says 'nah, he'd never put something permanent on his body like that - though, now that he thinks of it, he's thinking about getting a new earring - a little silver badge....' --Mrs. Potato Head (talk) 04:53, 3 March 2013 (UTC)

Tattoo artist!au seems to be pretty popular in the tumblr Captain America fandom (at least, it looks that way from my perspective). Is this something I should add, or is it just me? If so, I'm not entirely sure how to go about it.--Sari (talk) 23:30, 25 February 2015 (UTC)

Shouldn't that AU get a separate trope page? I mean it's one thing to give the character a body modification they dont have in canon (which this page seems to be about) and it's another to have an entire AU where tattoos and making them are the focus for at least one character...--Alex (talk) 23:39, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
I agree that this could get a separate page, which we can link to from here. I know I've seen tattoo artist AUs in bandom/MCR too, I'll see if I can dig up some links. --sparc 23:17, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
I'm gonna have to back down on my end -- sorry! All I managed to find were these two illustrations from the same person and the rest is all vaguely "punk!cap au". I dunno - I might just not be looking for this stuff the right way. --Sari (talk) 05:15, 27 February 2015 (UTC)

Should we have an extra page for Fannish Tattoos?

For some fans the love for their fandom seem to go under their skin (pun intended), so I guess an article in Category Fannish Activities for Fannish Tattoos or Fannish Body Modification (where people start get plastic surgery to look like some character) would be useful?
