"Street Party" is a short story by Sandpipersummer based on Mary Renault's 1953 novel The Charioteer. It is set five years after the novel, on VE Day.
Laurie unexpectedly runs into Andrew at a VE Day street party, and learns that, in the intervening years, he has come to terms with his sexual orientation.
