The Sizzler or 'Slash In Zine Literary ERotica' Awards were established in 2002 after the passing of long-time fanzine editor and Connexions convention organizer Marion McChesney. The Connexions convention decided to honor her memory by creating a series of awards that would recognize fanzine writers, editors and artists. The awards were held annually and only members and supporting members of the con were eligible to vote. The awards were divided into fandom specific categories, but there was also a special category recognizing new zine editors, The Marion McChesney Award for Best New Zine Editor.

Sadly, many of the award details have been lost as part of the Geocities 2009 website shut down. However, the nominees from 2003 give an idea of the various categories:
