On April 25, 2007, a Silent Hill fan known as Q toyed once again with the concept of a Silent Hill Fanfiction Archive. She ran a poll [1] in her LiveJournal to get some fandom feedback and offers of help.
A few days passed, and Q mucked about with eFiction's open source script and set up the archive after two days of work. The Silent Hill Fanfiction Archive (SHFFA) was created on May 1, 2007.
On May 15th, 2008, Project Wonderful ad banners were added to the site in order to pay for a domain name and help with server costs.

The SHFFA still remains non-profit.
As of June 18, 2010, there were 184 members, 141 stories, and 48 authors.
The Archivists
Q has been involved in the Silent Hill fandom since about 2003. She wrote her first Silent Hill fanfiction Story's End [2] between June and August 2004. She also created various fan media such as fanart and AMVs.
In 2006, she acquired Valtiel(Dot)com, Archived version, a place to host her various Silent Hill fanworks.
Archive Policies
The Silent Hill Fanfiction Archive is pretty lax in its policies.
- Respect other users.
- Use proper grammar and a spell check in your stories.
- No flaming or spamming
- No script fic
- Use proper warnings and categories.
Most of the rules are drawn from common sense and netiquette.
