"Reunion with Reg" by mysid is a short story based on Mary Renault's 1953 novel The Charioteer. It is set twenty years after the end of the novel.
Synopsis
Laurie had been surprised when Reg Barker called out of the blue, but agrees to meet him for lunch. It takes a long preamble of catching up before Reg broaches the reason he's hunted Laurie up.
