Why this must be read:Ah, I do so love 'Aliens made them do it' stories and in this case it's more 'Alien technology made them do it'. SGA is the perfect fandom for that much loved scifi fanfic cliche because they are dealing with a level of technology that they only know a limited amount about in a city where they have no idea what they're going to find. Add in the fact that Ancient tech needs to be activated by someone with the ATA gene and you've got the perfect setup.
shalott weaves a wonderful story full of ramifications, conflict and, most especially, snark, around the incident in question and with a brace of little touches, sucks you in. [1]
