Pete Wentz is an American musician best known for being the bassist and primary lyricist for the American rock band Fall Out Boy. He is credited for creating all of Bandom and is the founder of the Decaydance record label, which began as a subset of FOB's Fueled by Ramen.

Always active on social media, his relationship with the fandom is very broad, as Pete had accounts on Instagram, LiveJournal, Twitter and other many spaces that fans also use. Since 2017 his Tumblr has become a redirect to the band's official website.

Pete's real-life relationships tend to be more public than his bandmates', and as such tend to appear relatively frequently in fanworks. Most notable among his partners is Ashlee Simpson, to whom he was married from 2008 to 2011 and with whom he has a son. Meagan Camper, his current girlfriend and mother of his second son, also sometimes appears in fanworks. Jeanae, his on-again, off-again girlfriend from circa 2002 to 2007 and the subject of many of Fall Out Boy's early songs, is also frequently mentioned. Jeanae is a polarizing figure in fandom, as many fans are uncomfortable by her and Pete's turbulent relationship, which began when he was 23 and she was only 15.

Pete is also frequently paired with Mikey Way of My Chemical Romance, with whom he became close when the bands toured together on Van's Warped Tour in the summer of 2005. This time period has since been dubbed by fans as "The Summer of Like." See Pete/Mikey.
