Pas de Deux is a 20-page explicit het Beauty and the Beast novel by Victoria Snow.

From the zine: "'Pas de Deux' -- an age-statement required vignette for Beauty & the Beast fans."

Though short, it is famed for its racy content.

In it, Vincent and Catherine attend a Halloween party in the gypsy community and proceed to have LOTS of sex.

Reactions and Reviews

Most readers will find it impossible to be neutral about this adult Classic zine, not because of the subject matter, but because of the writing style. It's beyond florid, even beyond “purple.” Often the sentences are so convoluted and adjective-heavy it's hard to tell who's doing what to whom. The heated imagery sometimes gets hopelessly tangled, too.

Some examples:

Drawing a quick breath as a speculative gleam amid the naked admiration in his electric blue gaze, he considered her request, she forgot to release it when the movement of his hand, a graceful arc describing his denial, captured her fingertips. He brought them to his lips where the moist, slightly abrasive texture of his mouth plundered her sensitive flesh and forced a sigh from her parted lips. (p. 3).

Stretched upon the rack of sensation, need, fierce, almost exquisitely painful in its intensity, claimed him. Caught in the grip of primitive desires, the intricately woven, but now threadbare fabric of his control, frayed and began to rend. (p. 18)

And we must not leave out the memorable but incomprehensible: For one, timeless, telling moment, she hung suspended upon the precipice of his desire (p. 17).

Basically the plot is that Vincent and Catherine attend a Halloween party in the gypsy community, then have one single, vastly prolonged sexual encounter in the park. Either you're going to love this zine or you're going to read it, shrieking with laughter, to your assembled 20 closest friends.

You've never seen anything quite like this. It's surely memorable! [1]
