painless_j is a reccer and a creator/maintainer of thematic lists of fanfiction. She is especially noted for her work in Harry Potter fandom, where she created dozens of lists on a very wide variety of themes, kinks and genres, including genderbending, Voldemort wins, memory charms, tattoos & piercing, slavery, soulbonds, sorting AUs, mpreg, epistolary fics, and many, many more.
She has largely left Harry Potter fandom and now recs mainly anime,manga (and yaoi fanworks thereof), and K-Pop.
She also wrote a useful 'how to' guide for creating thematic lists.
