In 2007, ATWT introduced the first teenaged gay couple in American soap opera history, Luke Snyder (played by Van Hansis) and Noah Mayer (played by Jake Silbermann). A great deal of fanwork has been created about them, both the characters (known by the mashup Nuke) and the actors (known as Jansis).
