Reactions and Reviews

This is a great MPREG story. I don't hesitate to say it's my favorite now. The author threats the idea of MPREG very seriously in this novella. I do enjoy the lighthearted MPREG stories, but it was very interesting seeing a more likely and serious scenario if MPREG were to become possible. I liked the reactions of our guys. This story was truly about pregnancy and all it various ups and downs; it's not a case story. [2]

2002

Guess I'll skip this one. For me, if a mpreg story isn't set in the "Alien Nation" universe, it's just too much of a stretch for me to be interested in. [3]

Stories like this one just contribute to the feminization of Blair. Just write an AU with him as a girl, dammit! Get it over with!

Though once I calmed down and read it for laughs, it was kind of entertaining.

[snipped]

"'You're not supposed to drink any alcohol. None. Zero. Zip. Nada. Not good for Junior in there.' He patted Blair's tummy."

Because Jim just hadn't been patronizing enough *yet*.

And you haven't even gotten to the obligatory 'I'm totally self-conscious because I'm fat now' sex scene! Think of the fun you'll have, dear reader!

I'd suggest a drinking game but I think you've gotten enough snarkiness for one day from me. [4]

MPREG is the *one* form of fanfic I absolutely refuse to look at. I don't *like* death stories, multiple partners (as in threesomes), partner betrayal and crossovers rarely work for me, but as long as I know that's what they are I'll give them a quick read. MPREG is instant delete. [5]

The thing that eventually got to me about this story (and clearly, it got to me, because I can't shut up about it) it's such a 'safe' little domestic fantasy, complete with all the cliches we expect. Doesn't really have much to do with real pregnancy, let alone the 'real' Jim and Blair.

And I don't know what squicked me out more-- Blair getting little girly-breasts or Jim *liking* them. Ick. [6]
