Merry has a known fear mixed with hatred for stories that end unhappily, *and* a great number of friends who understand her. This has led to the concept of the Merry-safe ending: a tag that people include on Delicious links, or a line they mention in their fanfic reviews, that avers that the story's ending has been checked and approved.

- Merry was the head of the sites Radio Free Cascade and Radio Free Seacouver, which hosted fanfiction in Sentinel and Highlander fandom respectively.
- Along with Nita, Merry created the Interim Sentinel Slash archive (which later became 852 Prospect under Nita's management) after the original Sentinel Slash archive became defunct in 1997.
- Merry co-modded ROG-L with Rachael Sabotini and elynross from 1999-2002
- Merry and Margie are the founders and co-moderators of the Sentinel list Prospect-L.
