Magneto is a mutant with the ability of magnetism; able to generate and control magnetic fields, which allows him to fly.

Comics

Magneto first appeared in The X-Men #1 (September 1963).

X-Men: Evolution

Magneto is voiced by Christopher Judge. Magneto appears mainly as a villain in the X-Men: Evolution universe, however he frequently teams up with Charles Xavier and his X-Men.

Wolverine and the X-Men

Magneto is voiced by Tom Kane, and is the ruler of the island of Genosha in Wolverine and the X-Men.

X-Men Movieverse

Magneto is portrayed by Sir Ian McKellen in all X-Men Movieverse films besides X-Men: First Class. Michael Fassbender portrays Magneto in the X-Men: First Class film series.

Magneto Was Right

"Magneto Was Right" is a slogan used to describe the views of Marvel Comics character and X-Men villain, Magneto, namely his extremist position that war is the only way to achieve equality for the fictional mutant race, as opposed to the X-men's pacifist approach. Some fans say Magneto is facetiously, while some genuinely agree in his position, applying it to real-world politics and systems of oppression.
