Lyanna Stark/Rhaegar Targaryen is the het pairing of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen in the A Song of Ice and Fire and Game of Thrones fandoms. They had a canonical relationship.

Canon

Lyanna and Rhaegar met at a tourney. Rhaegar crowned Lyanna queen of love and beauty. This caused a scandal because Rhaegar was already was married with children. At some point thereafter, Lyanna and Rhaegar ran off together, marrying in secret. Others believed Lyanna to have been kidnapped. This was one of the events that lead to Robert's rebellion against the crown (Lyanna was Robert's betrothed). Lyanna became pregnant by Rhaegar. After Robert rose up, he rode off to war, leaving the pregnant Lyanna guarded in a tower in Dorne. He fought Robert at the Trident, and was killed by him in single combat. Lyanna later died in childbirth, asking her brother Ned Stark to raise the her son, Jon Snow. Ned honoured his sister's dying wish, presenting Jon as his bastard son. Jon grew up unaware of his true parentage, as Ned died before being able to reveal it to him. Lyanna and Rhaeger's story is unusual in that is is told entirely from the POVs of other characters and through flashback.
