Reactions and Reviews: Issue 1

LAFF TREK:THE HUMOR ADVENTURE BEGINS is a collection of humorous Trek short stories and cartoons. Included are a ST:TMP spoof, "One Man Show," a dialogue a la I AM NOT SPOCK, "Crime and Punishment," in which Our Heroes have to figure out what to do with their baby dragons during an admiral's inspection, a story with a seasonal use for tribbles, a Star Trek primer for ST3, a shore leave tale of mayhem, what Spock does on Easter, and an introduction to two troublesome crewmembers and the new security chief, and more. Cartoons include, "Is it Nimoy yet?" and "[colorful metaphor] I locked the keys in the ship," among many others. This zine perhaps should not be given to fen of delicate sensibilities because of a K/S filksong, Spock's encounter with a Vulcan nymphomaniac, and suggestive blackmailing in one of the stories. All good, mostly clean, fun. [1]
