James Doohan International Fan Club is a fan club for the actor James Doohan, who portrayed Scotty in Star Trek: TOS. The club was formed with Doohan's approval and support.

The club published a gen clubzine with articles, stories, games, etc. related to James Doohan. Once a year, these issues were combined in some way to make the Annual Issue.

See the James Doohan International Club Newsletter.

The Introductory Booklet

The club's introductory booklet contains 12 pages. It is digest-sized.

Contents:

  • a short intro and thank you by Doohan
  • some printed photographs (including one of Doohan and his wife Anita) and photographs that were not printed directly in the booklet, but instead affixed by four corners
  • Doohan's biography
  • some facts about Doohan ("Love that Miniskirt!" (presumably on women), Doohan has a pool table in the middle of his apartment's living room, has a cat named "Scotty," loves sushi...)
  • club info
  • short bios about the club committee members: Ann Lauridsen (president), Anna Hrera (secretary) and Nancy Polk (vice-president)

To all new members, Welcome!

I feel it a great privilege to be singled out, by you and Ann, Anna, and Nancy, to be the object of your efforts in 'fandom.'. I will do my best to help you in every way I can to have a happy club.

Most Sincerely, James Doohan
