Reactions and Reviews

Marvelous, well-wrought, thoughtful poetry-romantic and profound rather than sensual or sentimental. Some poems deal with Vincent's loneliness after Catherine's death but the zine as a whole is life- and love-affirming. The poems are metered and rhymed, showing both perception and excellent poetic craft. Some are bound to become your favorites. Example (from “On the Outside, Looking In”): The anguish fades./ Nostalgia reigns, as though/love was a place I meant to see/a long, long time ago. Splendid stuff. Winner, Crystalline Rose Award, 1991.[1]
